Would someone take us thru - how to learn to take garden photos, beyond the point and shoot autofocus. In the beginning it is hard to know where or how to start.

I'd love to see a Garden Bloggers' Design Workshop on the topic of drainage. I'd certainly have something to contribute to it - nearly my entire experience of gardening so far has been focused on drainage - and there's plenty I'd like to learn from other people's posts about it, too. Of course there have already been workshops on "water in the garden" and "water-wise gardening," which are somewhat related, but those are really focused on situations where water is a good thing or in scarce supply. In my experience of gardening, water is more often a terrible thing that I have way too much of and that kills every plant in sight!

<em>That's a great idea, Gayle. We're going to take a break from the Workshops for a while, but I'll add it to the list of possible future topics.

I'd like to see lots of different garden styles that can still be drought tolerant. The current style in CA is grasses, mediterranean, D.G. I love it, but think lots of homeowners might want (or need, esp in CA and the new water regs) to have a water-wise garden that's something else.
